Shamaan Freeman-Powell

Shamaan is a 28 year-old journalist, currently working as a general news correspondent for Sky News.

She is originally from Nottingham, but spent time living in Sheffield working as a local reporter before moving to London. 

Previously, she worked as an assistant producer for BBC Panorama, a reporter and producer for the BBC News channel and the Victoria Derbyshire programme, as well as writing for the front page of the BBC website.

She has produced content for TV, radio, digital and online, showing a commitment to diversity and telling stories seldom heard.
